The transfer window may be done but news is still coming out of Tottenham on a regular basis.
Troy Parrott has signed fresh terms with the club while there are reports of a new deal for Japhet Tanganga as well.
However, there have been fresh transfer stories for Spurs fans to mull over too. Andre Onana has been linked with a £40m-£50m transfer but a far cheaper deal would be one for Adam Lallana.
The Daily Mail claims that the Liverpool midfielder is set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season with a number of sides, including Spurs, monitoring his situation.
North London rivals, Arsenal, are also apparently keeping a close eye on the 31-year-old, as are Leicester.
Taking to Twitter to discuss the news, multiple Spurs fans were unamused by the idea of signing the 34-cap England international in the summer.
Three fans were particularly blunt with their responses.
Although they didn’t provide reasons behind their dissatisfaction with the report, some were more thorough.
Further individuals don’t want Lallana to join because of his injury record.
The ageing attacking midfielder has had repeated issues, the latest of which kept him out for 33 days and seven matches in 2018/19.
On top of that, he missed over 150 days and 32 games in 2017/18. Based on fitness, it would be a poor signing but the fact he would arrive on a free means it’s low risk.
A further fan thought this rumour was done once former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino had left the club. The pair were together at the Saints and previous reports suggested the Argentine had told Lallana to leave Liverpool last summer.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom though as two supporters looked at the positive side to a potential move. One thought Lallana would make a good squad player, something he has done to good effect while playing under Jurgen Klopp.
